You’ll only get one shot at this one – a half marathon and 5K set on the scenic site of the new U.S. 31 highway, and a chance to break in the asphalt before it’s opened to traffic.
You’ll feel the road rise to meet you as you cruise 3.1 or 13.1 miles on the new U.S. 31, affectionately called “the bypass” – but we promise this is one event your whole family won’t want to miss. There is nothing like crossing the finish line of a race, and if you’ve always dreamed of competing in a 5K or a half marathon, the Highway Half is perfect for you.
We’ll have plenty of music on the course and ample water stops. Plus when you get to the finish of both the 5K and the half marathon, you’ll walk away with a Kokomo-themed finisher’s medal.
Runners and walkers in both the 5K and the half marathon will start together at Morning Star Church, 2900 E. Markland Ave.
Packet pick-up for preregistered runners and walkers will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday Oct. 11 and 7-8:45 a.m. Saturday Oct. 12 at Morning Star Church, 2900 E. Markland Ave.
We strongly suggest preregistered participants pick up packets on Friday evening and carpool to the race if possible. Parking will be extremely limited. Please arrive at race day early as we expect a very full race field. If you are not yet registered, you may register for the race during packet pick-up with credit card or check ONLY please.
We look forward to seeing you on race day!
